as the race builder has some balance issues, I'm wondering if someone has already made a modification of it that has much more balanced point costs.

That's simply not possible. Even things that are fairly priced on their own can easily be exploited with other things to create a sum far greater than its individual parts. The best thing a GM can do is work with a player to craft a race that suits the balance needs of the campaign. Feel free to use the custom race rules as a guideline, but not a set of rules.

that doesn't make it impossible; it simply means a modified version can't be perfect. it could still be better/more accurate, even if it's still significantly inaccurate and exploitable.

fullcasters and samurai both exist in the game, therefore any semblance balance actually is quite simply impossible.

why bother interjecting into a thread when you have nothing useful to add? seriously, why choose to post and add nothing when you could just ignore the thread?

The answer to your question is no, nobody has done that. The other posts were just explaining why.

Here is how we adjusted it for the past few years:

Fast Healing now costs 4 points
Added Trait: Better Fast Healing, costs 2 initially and costs 2 more for each.
Regeneration: costs 6, has Fast Healing as a Requirement

thank you for the direct answer, that is helpful.

the other posts [not including krazz's ofc which is on point and helpful] were not sound explanations (in the formal sense), so they were not actually explaining why.
