All work and no play?

I am running the Pathfinder Skull and Shackles adventure path series. We are about to wrap up book 1....The Wormwood Mutiny. My problem is that I put in so much work to GM, for everyone else's fun, and I take great pride in that. However, I am a PLAYER.... I love to create, and watch my creations come to life. I like to write about my PCs, but I do not have an option to play anywhere in the near future.

Any advice?
