What are the best items in the game from a fashion perspective?

NB: Pictures are vehemently on-topic.

First thoughts: the Fiery Tunic from MIC / MoEb is a pretty hot item.

This eye-catching tunic shifts and moves like liquid flame. A crystal shard burns a brilliant red in the middle of the chest, fused seamlessly
with the cloth of the shirt.

This eye-catching tunic looks like liquid flame running down your torso. The flame doesn't harm you, nor does it char or damage your other possessions. A khyber shard burns a brilliant red in the middle of the chest, fused seamlessly with the cloth of the shirt.

That would be a hit at any club. You wouldn't even need to know how to dance.

What other items are a must-have for the fantasy fashionista?

Fiery Tunic or Fieri Tunic!?

Anyway, is Glamered Armor cheating?

Anyway, is Glamered Armor cheating?

Not cheating at all.

Glamered

A suit of armor with this ability appears normal. Upon command, the armor changes shape and form to assume the appearance of a normal set of clothing. The armor retains all its properties (including weight) when glamered. Only a true seeing spell or similar magic reveals the true nature of the armor when disguised.

Just ... boringly normal.

I wonder. Can you change the "normal" clothing? Like, can it be a black tee one day, and a plaid shirt the other?

If so, having basically infinite basic clothes can be a great asset to any fashionista.

If so, having basically infinite basic clothes can be a great asset to any fashionista. Let's say that it could be if you wanted it to add that functionality, but that by default Glamered armor less of a fashion item and more of a covert operations hiding-in-plain-sight type of thing.

For this thread, I'd rather discuss items that are explicitly noted for appearances which are abnormal in a fashionable way.

Fair enough.

In this case, the Chronocharm (MIC, 85) is some very nice bling. I wouldn't mind wearing a few of those. Same for the Empowered Spellshard (MIC, 96)

Goggles of Foefinding (MIC, 108) is pretty cool pair of sunglasses.

But honestly, nothing will ever come close to the awesomeness that are the Boots of Agile Leaping (MIC, 76). I dare anyone here to find a pair of boots more fashionable than this one.

They're not bad at all.

... but you just have to look a bit lower on the same page to find the Boots of Dragonstriding:

I've always loved the armor of fallen leaves, from Complete Divine. Such a wonderful aesthetic:

I've always been a fan of the Robe of eyes.

How has no one mentioned the Hat of Disguise? It's the only fashion accessory you ever need.

Rod of Splendor?

Also, the seven veils would probably fit if there was a pic of them all equipped. (Instead of all individually)

From Eberron Glamerweave

Glamerweave is a fine, light fabric that has delicate illusions woven into the threads. The color of glamerweave seems to shift subtly and is hard to describe, but this property is makes for a striking and strangely beautiful appearance. A character wearing glamerweave clothing gains a +1 circumstance on Diplomacy checks. Glamerweave clothing costs 100gp more than a normal outfit of the same sort, and weighs 1 pound less (or 1/4 pound less for small characters).

Creepy but certainly striking.

I'd probably name the character who habitually wore that Dr. Panopticon.

Rod of Splendor?

Also, the seven veils would probably fit if there was a pic of them all equipped. (Instead of all individually) Good point on the veils. They're not particularly compelling in isolation, but all together they'd presumably be something to see.

Any art for the Rod of Splendor's effect?

From Eberron Glamerweave Great find, that's explicitly and mechanically gorgeous stuff.

Any art for the Rod of Splendor's effect?

Pretty sure it's basically supposed to be something like this:

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/07/Workshop_of_Hans_Holbein_the_Younger_-_Portrait_of_Henry_VIII_-_Google_Art_Project.jpg

Anyway, can we take a moment to appreciate how delightful the art at the bottom of pp. 77-8 of the MIC is? That's the one with Tordek and Regdar in (presumably) a magic item shop trying on all the different boots. It's just the most charming picture.

Combing a little more through MIC, I like the image of the Robe of Arcane Might on pg. 128. It's intricate enough to indicate that you have, well, arcane might, but it's not crazy gaudy (contrast with, oh, the Vest of the Archmagi on pg. 146, which is a little too, shall we say, Vegas for my tastes).

Not clothing, but hopefully discussing other art from the MIC isn't too far off-topic here: look at the lower-left corner of the background pic on pg. 149. I see a bottle with four stoppers in the corners (plus a main stopper at the top), a face, and a weird banner saying "JADE DUST" crossing the face's nose. That's, um, a little bit extra, don'cha think? Entertainingly so, but still, pretty extra.
