Hey playgrounders,

I've been recently trying to tackle my glut of console/portable games that I've accumulated, so I've started updating my Backloggery page with my collection, etc .. Anyone else here make use of this (or other similar websites to track their collection/playtime?) Has it helped you actually finish games?

Although I don't use a website but rather a Word document, I have made myself a list of all the games in my backlog, and then choose one randomly after I've finished the previous game. I would dare say that yes, it has helped me focus on a single game at a time rather than just play whatever I feel like.

Yeah, I've debating using several different types of collection-tracking apps/programs/methods for a while, however this one seems the most integrated with social features (i.e. adding a current short signature link hinting at what you've been playing/collecting) .. I figure the constant engaged would help me keep things moving to actually complete games .. rather than just starting some and drifting to others too quickly (which I seem to do far too often I guess)

I recently started a Grouvee account. Shelves for a Backlog, Played, Playing, and Wish List, with a five-start rating system and user forums. Reminds me of Goodreads, which I've found really helpful for staying on track with my reading goals.
