I am not really very informed about how Pathfinder works but I am really liking the information I have started to look through.

Does Pathfinder operate in a particular realm or world? Does it tie back into FR for example?

Are there maps of the country overall or just the ones developed in the Adventure Paths?

Thanks!

Don't know if paizo has released an official world map, they've mostly focused on the inner sea region (the first results on an image search for "Golarion")

Golarion (https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Golarion) is the main planet of the official Pathfinder campaing setting, and a complete world map is available (albeit very rough).

The region on which most of the adventures focus is the Inner Sea Reagion (https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Inner_Sea), of which a more detailed map is available. The corresponding publication is the "Inner Sea World Guide", which contains detailed descriptions of the countries and areas in this region. Parts of the world outside the Inner Sea region are mainly developed in adventure paths, e.g. "Jade Regent" for Tian Xia or "Ruins of Azlant" for the Arcadian Ocean.

The campaign setting extends beyond the planet itself, other planets in the solar system (https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Solar_system) are also described.

All you need to know about Golarion: https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Portal:Geography
