What Are Your Other Favorite Forums?

I always love visiting the GitP forums. Y'all keep things classy. The discussions show range, depth, intelligence, and courtesy, and the visual style and layout of the site are bright and welcoming. I've got a lot of gratitude for the folks behind the curtain who crafted this space and cultivated this community. Thank you.

Having said that, what other online communities do you enjoy being a part of? I've dipped a toe into various Reddit threads and Facebook groups, but I've never found anywhere quite like this.

Quora, where actual discussion on interesting topics is allowed, but which is of course also chock-full of trolls, and Board Game Geeks, for very specific discussion.

I spend a lot of time on RolePlay onLine (RPoL). A huge choice of play by post roleplaying games, many of them long running and of excellent quality.

I also write (and read!) After Action Reports on the Paradox Interactive forums. Again a lot of quality material and a good atmosphere.

Alternate History Discussion would probably be my next favourite after those.

I like the Egosoft forums (for the X series of space combat games) so much that I was a volunteer site admin there for many years. It's a bit quiet right now over there because it's been a while since the last game release and the new one is still in development, though.

I also spend a lot of time at rpol.net. That's where I started my on-line, PbP journey. I only realized that Giantitp had such a section quite a bit after I joined.
