Hi, I plan on violently pushing a PC in a stairway inside a caste. So probly 12 steps made of stone and he may be a bit drunk too. How much damage is that?

How tall is the staircase? Are each of those steps 1", 4", a foot tall? Is this built for gnomes or giants?

Off the top of my head, treat the dice rate gain at 20 feet of stair fallen, compared to the 10 feet of vertical falling.

Half normal damage seems about right, and I’d probably allow a dex save to halve that damage, too, or even avoid damage entirely.

This sounds fair and easy. Stealing it ;)

Half normal fall damage, Dex save for half (maybe DC 10+1/10ft?) sounds about right.

It it's a very long stairway, maybe at the end of each of their turns if they haven't reached the bottom yet they can make a Dexterity save to try and halt their fall.

Hey Bobby, play that one about falling down the stairs!

Treat it like fall damage, but 1d6 per 15' or 20' instead of 10'. Easy done.
