I realize the stats don’t line up great... and the lack of darkvision is unfortunate... but...

Githzerai’s Racial Mage Hand has no components (verbal or somatic); and with the shenanigans of an Arcane Trickster... some reasonably fun things can be done here I think.

8/14/14/16/14/8 stats... any other thoughts on how to proceed?

AT5 and then 5 levels of Wizard? It’ll giveaccess to 3rd level spells at 10 instead of 13, and vastly improve your spell selection.
