I've been running a full 1-20 playtest of several homebrew classes I've created to identify and fix issues, and once I'm done I'm planning to do a write up for each class for any DMs to assess them, basically plainly laying out any information a DM would need without having to read through the entire class. To that end, I'd like to ask any other DMs what sort of information regarding a homebrew class they would want to know before allowing it?

So far, what I was thinking of including was;
* A basic summary of the class features and their limitations
* What I would estimate their "Tier" to be
* What sort of encounters the class will likely excel at dealing with
* Which classes/builds they may overshadow

I'd want to see some analysis & math which demonstrate that your claims about relative class strength are to be trusted.

I mean, I don't know you. I don't know what assumptions or playstyle baggage you carry. Furthermore, I don't need your homebrew, and doing my own analysis of it seems like a lot less fun than just doing my own homebrew -- which I do for fun, mostly, since it's an enjoyable creative exercise.

So if you want to take away the fun of doing my own homebrew, prove to me that you're saving me a lot of time.

Demonstrate the why of your designs.
