What class for a duergar character

So I love Duergar and the lore of the race and I really wanna finally play one...however, i cannot figure out what class I should play. I feel like they are tailored for melee but i worry about the sunlight sensitivity crippling them. Soo I just need opinions or maybe some ideas that someone else has played. (I can probably go around mostly at night but my DM will definitely use the SS against me quite alot)

Their stats match up nicely for a barbarian, and Reckless Attack would let you counteract Sunlight Sensitivity.

I'd play an evil Cleric that doesn't rely on weapon attacks. Maybe a Tempest Cleric that mostly blasts?

Subvert expectations and make a Light Cleric. Or you could make a Samurai Fighter so that you can counteract the Sunlight Sensitivity if you need to a few times a day.

Or, like a poster above said, go with a class that mainly focuses on Saves and not attacks, so that it’s not a problem.
