Eldritch Knight or Monster Hunter

I know they are quite different but I am drawing up a fighter and am trying to decide which to choose. He will be human and from a knightly order tasked with destroying evil in a horror style story. I was going with Eldritch Knight until I ran across the Monster Hunter from UA. Thoughts?

Both are gonna flow pretty different.

If the Campaign is more social/ political them tghe UA Monster Hunter has a few bonuses in that direction. I have played it myself in an Al-Quadim setting and it was fun, although it wa easy to burn all your special resources quickly.

I have also run an EK, and it is a solid, heavy duty powerhouse. It can be a superb defensive tank or a fun augmented archer. Your cantrip selection is very important for this. You will be more fighter than caster, like 75/25%
So long as you play the class as a warrior that sometimes uses some magic tricks, it is super fun.
I think as a member of a Knightly order ot may better fit your origin.
