Spellscales are humanoids, so if you die, you can get reincarnated on the standard table.

When you Reincarnate, you specifically keep your +2 Spellscale Cha, but become another race.

Unless you get unlucky and roll Kobold (3% chance), you are now nondraconic and so qualify for Spellscale Assumption (RotD p31).

Spellscale Assumption removes all of your current racial traits and gives you all of the Spellscale traits, including another +2 Cha.

It seems there is nothing RAW stopping you from stacking Cha in this way indefinitely if you have time and gp. The level loss is the biggest cost, but even that can be mitigated with a Thought Bottle.

Even if the post-reincarnation Spellscale +2 bonus is untyped, it shouldn't stack with itself (unless it says otherwise, and I can't find it saying otherwise).

I think you can get +4 this way -- +2 from any number of reincarnations, and then +2 racial from being a Spellscale currently.

It's a cool idea, but I don't think it stacks with itself.

Bonuses of the same type do not stack. A +2 racial bonus does not stack with the same +2 racial bonus.

The rules about stacking bonuses are clear enough. The thing is, racial ability score adjustments have never been referred to as "bonuses", AFAIK.

Where are the rules that say the Cha adjustment is kept through reincarnation? Checked Races of the Dragon and saw no mention of reincarnation in the Spellscale section. Regardless, it would count as a previous racial adjustment, even if not from your previous race, and be stripped by becoming a spellscale again.
