Hell Butterflies serve as ferries of the souls that just need guidance. They tend to those that pass peacefully or who are at peace with their death. They are also used as messengers between the greater planes and the material as they often end in many different divine realms.

Silent Messengers: Hell Butterflies understand Abyssal, Celestial, Common, and Infernal. Hell butterflies do not have the biology to speak.
No hands: Hell butterflies have no fine manipulation and cannot use any skill that requires fine manipulation or weild any objects as they do not have hands.
Spirit Touch (Ex) A psychopomp’s natural weapons, as well as any weapon it wields, are treated as though they had the ghost touch weapon special ability.
Ferry of Souls (Ex): The hell butterfly may gather a soul using its spirit touch ability. The soul must be willing and only one soul may be ferried at a time.
Spiritsense (Su) A psychopomp notices, locates, and can distinguish between living and undead creatures within 60 feet, just as if it had the blindsight ability.
Traverse to After (Su): the Hell Butterfly can travel from the plane of the dead to the material to gather the spirits of the dead. Alternatively, while a soul has been collected it can be used to take the soul to its appropriate land of the dead.
