What happens when you reach higher perception levels?

So for example, i have a lvl17 rogue/cleric. After an adventure was finished and the loot distributed, i was granted 22 wisdom via homebrew item.

Which brought my passive perception to a pretty good 28.

While snooping around, i read people saying a 30PP means you almost have some kind of blindsense. Though i didn't really find much in the PHB. Are there no perks to having higher perception? Other than the obvious in game implications like nothing being able to effectively hide from you, or do something to get past you senses.
