Hi everyone

I built a funny Grey Elf 2Hand Weapon fighter based on DEX. The idea is to stay away from power attack but still be able to dish out a decent amount of damage (DEX + INT to damage). I'm currently level 8, fighting with a Elven Courtblade.

I need your input for late feat (level 15-18) or item to look for.

I present you Syrkam of Corellon!

Level 1 Swashbuckler 1
Level 2 Swashbuckler 1/ Fighter 1
Level 3 Swashbuckler 2/ Fighter 1
Level 4 Swashbuckler 2/ Fighter 2
Level 5 Swashbuckler 2/ Fighter 3
Level 6 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 3
Level 7 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4
Level 8 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampofCorellon 1
Level 9 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampofCorellon 2
Level 10 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 1
Level 11 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 2
Level 12 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3
Level 13 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 1
Level 14 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 2
Level 15 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 3
Level 16 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 4
Level 17 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 5
Level 18 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 6
Level 19 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 7
Level 20 Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 4/ ChampionofCorellon 2/ Battle Trickster 3/ Exemplar 8

Feats/ AFC/

Level 1: ACF swashbuckler Arcane Stunt, Weapon finess, Improved Weapon familiarity
Level 2: Fighter ACF Hit-AND-Run, Weapon focus Elven Courtblade
Level 3: Combat Expertise
Level 4: Mounted Combat
Level 6: Dodge
Level 7: Weapon specialisation Elven Courtblade
Level 8: Improved Combat expertise
Level 9: Improved Critical
Level 11: Melee weapon mastery
Level 12: Skill focus Tumble
Level 15: FEAT ??, FEAT (Exemplar)??
Level 18: FEAT??, FEAT (exemplar)??

I went more agressivly on skill later but i'm open to another Prestige class from 10 to 20 if it's fit the flavor (high DEX/INT fighter that can damage!)

Thanks for your help.

Power attack is good. Getting 13 str isn't hard with a +str item and you can use a damage boost to stay relevant.

If you want Power attack without a Str prereq monk 1 will give it to you with the alternate feat schools. Monk 2 is good for a high dex build. Evasion at 2nd level keeps you alive and the kung-Fu genious feat turns the AC bonus to +Int.

+Dex and +Int to damage and +dex and +Int to AC, evasion, and power attack without a str prereq sounds nice.

Indeed!! Ill check if I can fit 2 level of monk in there. I'm Lawfull Good, so its possible. But i'm gonna take XP penalty...

To confirm - this is Pathfinder, right? All of my advice will be based upon that assumption.

1. You might consider dipping 3-4 levels into Unchained Rogue to get 1.5x DEX to damage. You only need 3 levels for the DEX to damage, but the 4th level is very sweet. If you want to take the build in a direction other than raw damage - take the Thug archetype combined with the Blade of Mercy trait & the Enforcer feat. It lets you make foes Frightened virtually every hit.

2. You actually don't really need Power Attack - and it's actually not very valuable at higher levels. The sweet spot for PA is 4-10, while once you get that 2nd iterative it's only rarely useful when making a full attack. Plus, it's a % accuracy reduction for a numerical damage boost - so as your static damage goes up it will inherently get less valuable. (That isn't to say it's still not situationally valuable - but not worth dropping attribute points into STR just to get it combined with a feat.)

3. Why are you going more than 1 level into Swashbuckler with a 2-handed weapon? Swash is a stupidly good 1 level dip, but after that it tends to work best as all or nothing.

Not Pathfinder.... :( We are playing in the World Largest Dungeons.

And I dip 3 level in Swashbuckler to get the +INT to damage. So, by level 9, I Get +INT+DEX+Weapon Spe to damage.

NvM then. Yes - from what I remember Swash was a 3 level dip in 3.5.

Mainly I just didn't remember the Elven Courtblade as a thing in 3.5 - but it's been awhile.

Another dip to consider is Feat Rogue 2 (rogue with fighter feats ACF) for the ray reflection ACF at level 2. You get evasion from monk so getting the ability to throw Dex mod ranged touch attacks back at the caster per day is fun.

Now they can't kill you with AOE's and touch attacks are dangerous to throw at you.

You're throwing three feats into the garbage so you can get into Champion of Corellon and it is really not worth it. You want a damage boost, multiclass as a Warblade and hop into Eternal Blade instead. Or take Power Attack and hop into Hellreaver. Or just take Wildrunner, it's in the same book and it's way better.

I would consider going Two-weapon fighting with elven thinblades. Trade Fighter 3 and 4 for Ranger 1 and 2. Follow by taking a 1-2 levels of exotic weapon master for 1-1/2 STR to Dmg or 2X STR to damage if you had Power Attack and or pick up the reduce penalty for 2-Weapon fighting.

You should see if your DM would give you Improve Weapon Familiarity for free, Dwarves gets weapons with Dwarven weapons for free why not elves or any other race with racial weapons. If so, it opens up a feat for power attack or some other feat you would prefer.

Scout's skirmish ability would be a good addition to the build if your set on a hit and Run theme. Rogue and Craven wouldn't be too bad either.

Items:
Gauntlet of Heartfelt blows Adds CHA to Damage or

Gauntlet of War for +1 weapon damage or use a Longsword to gain +3 Damage since Corellean is your deity..
