I am running my first ever one shot in a couple of weeks and I am prepared except for the final boss battle. The idea I have is all based around a evil master of illusion. So, I am creating him from scratch. The room setup is a large circular room surrounded by 4 pillars. The players will be on the circular platform, and the illusionist on a pillar. There will also be illusionary copies of the illusionist on the other platform.
My first idea is every time he is hit by an attack, he teleports randomly to one of the illusionary copies and an illusion takes his place. Does this seem op or not? I was gonna make him rather squishy so each hit really counts.
My second idea was for him to beable to make evil copies of the PC's that will fight for him. I was thinking this would be his lair action and the evil pc who is created would have half the hp of the actual pc. What are your thoughts on these?
