View Full Version : Xonthals maze. Help

My players are trapped in the maze. I don't want to help them. I want them to figure out the maze or die trying. They're not really doing any critical thinking. That being said my style of DMing doesn't call for my players to problem solve so much. So, maybe I'll throw them a bone, as I feel like this maze thing is a curve ball and I steered them wrong by making a game that was too linear.
Any way, I'm looking for more ideas to put into the maze. Looking for more critical thinking ideas, to keep it fresh, and maybe to loosen up the players gears in regard to 'thinking about stuff' instead of 'fight fight fight'. Any ideas are welcome, puzzles , social encounters, etc. Need creative assistance, and yeah, I know, I'm a DM so I should be able to handle this. My answer is, I am handling it, by asking for help! Lol
