Multiclassed Bard Magical Secrets

I want your opinion about something. Say you have a Bard 5/ Sorcerer 14 multiclass. This multiclass gives access to 9th level slots, but not spells. The bard can change a spell from his list every time he levels up. Could you change one spell for a level 9 spell?

Alternatively, you gain the additional magical secrets the same way. Can you choose a 9th level spell?

I feel like Im missing something but I do not know what.

You still learn spells as a single class character. Therefore, you couldn’t pick up a 9th level spell because your Bard can only learn 3rd level spells.

Same with Magical Secrets. Your Bard part can only learn 3rd level spells, so the Magical Secrets can only be up to 3rd level.
