Full attack action

What can you do as part of a full attack action? Can you only use basic attacks or can you use special attacks that cost a standard action to use?

Specifically, I know that path of war strikes count as attacks in some ways. Could you use a path of war strike with an initiation action of one standard action as part of a full attack?

The former. If they take a standard action to use then they can't be a part of a full attack.

It's the same with initiators in ToB 3.5. A special attack that takes a standard action to activate can only be used as a standard action. When something can be done as an attack, it's spelled outright, like a trip or disarm.
