I'd already caught the obvious parallels.

:belkar::How dare you make me think about things, Durkon?
[While Durkon is making the vampire think about things.]

:belkar::How could you not think about how your selflessness would affect ME?
[While Durkon is talking about having to deal with how Sigdi's selflessness affected him, and is now affecting the vampire]

I just caught more:

:durkon:: Every single one counts. All tha way ta tha end.
[Cut to Belkar making today count.]

:durkon:: But sooner or later, ye gotta take all tha pain an' do sumthin' wit it.
[Cut to Belkar takin' tha pain o' tha Protection from Evil and doin' sumthin wit it.]

In the meta sense, we see Belkar as utterly selfish, and Durkon as selfless to a fault.

I think he means parallels between Belkar and Durkula.

Durkula is dead and not gonna come back.

Belkar will die and not gonna come back.
