Familiar Casting Banned Spells with Wand

I'm playing a wizard with an Air Elemental familiar, and I spoke to my DM and he is allowing it to cast spells with wands using a Use Magic Device check. My character does not posses the ability to cast enchantment spells due to entry in a prestige class. My question is: can my familiar cast enchantment spells through wands, or is that off limits for it too.

As you are using UMD, your banned schools don't affect your wand usage. It's only if you were trying to cast from a wand without UMD that your banned schools would prevent you.

If doing it with UMD, then it acts as if the spell were on its class list. And if you have ranks in UMD, you can also cast normally prohibited spells this way.
