Being a huge fan of Eberron, the setting is just so awesome, and the dragonmarks is one of many reasons that I think that, and so, I decided to look throu the dragonmarks.

My impression is that they did a great work here. Thanks to the simplicity of 5e, I thought implementing dragonmarks in a meaningful way where you got actual mechanical benefits from it, would be impossible. However, I think they did a great work here. I haven't truly digested every mark, but a few of that I like, is the Mark of Sentinel (finally I can play a Sentinel Marshal), Mark of Making seems cool and beneficial, and the Mark of Warding means Dwarves can finally make good wizards and rouges :D Too bad as the artificer is still missing, considering dwarf have a strong lore leaning towards that, and this mark definately makes em good at that.

What I am wondering, what do you guys think about the dragonmarks? Do you find them overpowered, underpowered, boring or something else? Do you like how they are implemented? Interested to hear..

Thanks :-)

House Vadalis lets you use Animal Friendship (aka Animal Companion: The Spell) on Monstrosities with Intelligence 3 or less.

Chimeras. Cockatrices. Gorgons. Bulettes. Darkmantles. Whatever you want, charmed and then trained with Dragonmark-boosted grace.

I only wish that they could work as well with any class other than Ranger or Druid, or had Dragonmark focus items.

Also, if their greater mark was worth anything. Two really weak spells, one 4th level and the other 2nd? When house Kundarak gets a powerful 3 and 4 with a situational 2? And Lyrandar gets two great 5s? I want to provide feedback on this playtest content, but Wizards seems to not be facilitating that...
