Random question: anyone else heard of or played this game? One of my favorites. Unfortunately it's out of print now. I recommend you check it out.

Oh yeah, I bought a tonne of this back in the day. I dropped out of it around the time they added krakens, submersibles, etc not for lack of interest, but literally none of my friends bar one* wanted to play. I still have all the pieces, and have considered using it in D&D for a way to represent maritime combat.


* the one who is a metagamer and powerbuilt so that he could pretty much win any game in about five minutes, making every game just depressing.

I never thought of using the pieces for dnd, thats a great idea. Im totally going to use them now.
