Vivisectionist to Master Chymist

If a Vivisectionist Alchemist takes the Master Chymist Prestige class, will the class feature "Bomb Thrower" give the character access to bombs (starting at 1d6 damage) , or will the class feature simply do nothing, as the character does not have the bomb feature?

As written it will do nothing.

It's a common enough DM ruling that it will stack for Sneak Attack, but that's still a house rule.
