Rock band sim

I've been looking for a new game, and I remembered a PC gamer (I think) review for a band simulation. I can't find that issue of the magazine now, so do any of you know what it is called?

I distinctly remember it having fairly primitive looking graphics in the screenshot.

Afraid not. Although, it looks like I might get some interesting game links out of this anyway.

I'm going to guess you're referring to Rock Band, a game where people assume the role of a drummer, lead guitarist, bass guitarist, and lead vocalist, and it's being made by the same group that made the original Guitar Hero games(Harmonix).
