How about a dab of Sovereign Glue + a 25 gp burnt-out Grey Ioun Stone?

That's a bit hillbilly, ain't it?

- Sovereign Glue your car keys to a burnt-out dull grey Ioun Stone, just so you don't misplace them, and add on continuous flame so you can find them in the dark.

- Reprogram your Murlynd's Spoon so it produces a swirly mixture of peanut butter + marshmallow fluff.

- Jack up your Flying Carpet and install monster truck wheels.

- Strum your Banjo of Building.

What sort of hillbilly magic applications have appeared in your games?

Not exactly hillbilly, but going with the general theme of creative application of effects:

Had a character make an engine using Powdered Water, he even had the calculations for explosive force compared to gasoline.

Had another who (ab)used Create Element(Earth) in a myriad of ways. Most notable, putting Black Sand in his Sand Blaster.

Had a BIOY Gramarie specialist use his craft to make parts of a Starfinder ship. Made for interesting play even if it did delve into houserules.

Elf Hazel, supposed to be super cosmetic, became a live-saver in a more gritty game I played where injuries were a thing. Being able to remove scars helped so much with the complications of old injuries. Wasn't the be-all-end-all, but was ruled favorably especially with gut wounds.

If Gramarie is on the table, that Grey Ioun Stone could be extra useful with just a YGGD 101 put in it. Could use it to hold things that intentionally fall out when you fall down and the stone changes orientation. If you have FR, Alchemist Fire with Healing Side Effect could bring you back from unconsciousness, burn your near-by enemies for probably more than you heal them.

Again, less hillbilly than item combos over in this PF thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?503619-PF-Combining-Mundane-Items) I had loads of fun with Ion Tape, Contracting Rope, the Cobbled Item rules, and the Custom Weapons rules.

Using Contracting Rope and Ion Tape to activate more tech grenades than is reasonable was a blast.

Chainsaw chucks, a chainsaw-lasergun gunblade were the most redneck items iirc.
