Greater Restoration removes one level. Wish can remove all of them (probably), but that's an unsafe use so you risk the drain effect.

Yeah. That sucks. Exhaustion is a serious penalty.

If you're referring to the frenzy Barbarian I just let them use a hit dice on a short rest to recover one level of exhaustion.

Yeah that is my houserule as well. Otherwise no one plays a Berserker which is a shame because I think it is such a cool archetype.

I’ve seen people houserule Lesser Restoration to recover 1 exhaustion and Greater Restoration to recover all exhaustion.
