So, what are everyone's favorite characters that only show up for a short time, then disappear?

Mine are Trigak, Kodrog the Slayer, and the polearm salesman.

As of the release of Good Deeds Gone Unpunished, Zhou Bo. Other than that, though, you gotta love Gannji and Enor.

Leeky Windstaff, One-Eyed Arena Warden and Teevo. And, of course, Frudu Biggens, the gratest unsung hero.

Soul-Muncher takes the cake, for being the one "guest star" character to still put me in stitches every time I think about them.

From the one-off gag characters, I really liked Fruit Pie the Sorcerer (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0091.html), and Psteve from the Dragon magazine strips.

No. Ivy (née Starshine) is Ian Starshine's sister, so Jiminy presumably shares Geoff's surname, which we've never learned.

Kish

It's entirely possible that Geoff took Ivy's name, you know.

Or they combined their names, like the Weinersmiths (http://www.weeklyweinersmith.com/?page_id=2).

Can Sangwaan count? As of Good Deeds Gone Unpunished she is now in two books.

I like parrots, so V's tropical messenger birds and Celia's addict friend are in.

She's in Paladin Blues momentarily (as a witness in the trial, testifying that the Sapphire Guard's divinations identified the Order as responsible for "endangering the fabric of existence", the crime they were accused of).

And in a bonus strip in Don't Split the Party.

So, that's four books including War & XPs.

Hmm, so I guess she's not really a "one-shot" character. Oh well. She seemed pretty interesting given what little we've seen of her.

I suppose I'll nominate Veldrina in her place, since she has my favorite single speech bubble.

What counts as a one-off? I would think, for example, Andi has too many appearances to count as one. (29 appearances puts her in the "Secondary Characters" category, according to the Number of Character Appearances (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?530588-Number-of-Character-Appearances-VI-Wrecan-quot-I-like-counting-things-quot) thread.)

To compare, Sangwaan is listed as 6 main comic appearances and 6 bonus comic appearances (no idea if that counts her appearances in "Spoiler Alert"). Veldrina has 14 appearances.

Hmm. Maybe someone should have defined what "one-shot" means. Single strip? Single in-plot appearance? ???

I am here defining "one-off" as "has less then two appearances":
I'm torn between Fruit Pie The Sorcerer, Goblin Dan, and The Theater Bunch. If we're going for less then 11, it'd have to be Cindy. Fun concept, entertaining, even if she's not that great. I don't generaly like bad guys or girls, but she's an exception.

Who's Cindy? I don't remember her, and I don't see her in the Number of Character Appearances thread, either.

The vampire lady whose host turned out to be repressing serious Evil tendencies and who is thus, far and away, the most cheerful and upbeat of the COH.

Oh, right, I forgot that was one of her many monikers. Thanks for the reminder.

Whoa, totally missed that! Love that detail.

Anyway, Hank is probably too important to count as a one-off character, but I'm going with him anyway.

My favorite one-offs are probably Jiminy and Leeky, although because they’re my favorites I wish that they weren’t one-offs. :smalltongue:
