Does wearing an amulet of health change my HP?

Yes. You use your new and improved Constitution modifier for HP.

Indeed. Any and all changes to one's Constitution, unless otherwise noted (in particular, the exception noted below), creates a retroactive change in HP.

Note that this affects current HP as well as maximum total.

In other words, if you have 5 HD and maximum of 30 hit points and take 15 damage, putting on an amulet of health +4 will raise your maximum hp to 40 and make your current total 25. Now, if you were to take another 5 points of damage, reducing your current total to 20, removing the amulet would reduce your maximum to 30 and your current total to 10.

With the exception being any ability based upon the "alternate form" special ability, which includes the druid's wild shape ability.

With the exception being any ability based upon the "alternate form" special ability, which includes the druid's wild shape ability.

Except that has another exception: if your Con goes down or up later, you have to redo hps. Your hps don't change for changing form only.

Either:
a. you have infinite Con (since conm changes can't affect you)
b. Or Con changes will affect you.

If a. Changing shpe is awesome if dealing with con damging things.

If b. Your will get hp reduction or gain.
Example:

Druid Wildshapes into a Bear (hps stay same, though his con is higher for other effects).
He (someone else) put on a amulet of health:
he gains hps due to the rules.

But, he doesn't just gain hps from the amulet he has to use the new Con to recalculate hps. (D&D is dependent on tables so by the rules, yeah he gains more).

So the errata made the druid better, ironically.

Blargh! Forgot that.

Which proves there's no such thing as "a simple question"
