Hello. Comic 1138 had some interesting snippets of the ideas that make up each of the outer alignment planes. I thought they could be useful for thinking about how alignment works in OOtS, which is a subject I know a lot of threads have covered extensively for specific characters. We might be able to compare ideas characters have expressed to these ideas or simply use them to better understand alignment concepts.

If you aren't aware of the basics, the planets Thor flew by in 1138 each correspond to actual D&D alignment planes. There are planes for each of the 9 basic alignments, as well as planes for in between people.

Plane Name - Alignment - Core Idea
Mount Celestia - Lawful Good - "Truth, Justice, and the Celestial Way."
Bytopia - Lawful/Neutral Good - "Let's all do our part."
Elysium - Neutral Good - "Everyone should care."
The Beastlands- Chaotic/Neutral Good -"Who's a good dog? You are!"
Arborea - Chaotic Good - "Words aren't as important as people."
Ysgard - Chaotic Good/Neutral - "Fight the good fight."
Limbo - Chaotic Neutral - "Don't you tell me what to do."
Pandemonium - Chaotic Evil/Neutral - "Lulz."
The Abyss - Chaotic Evil - "Screw you, Jack, I got mine."
Carceri - Chaotic/Neutral Evil - "You're bad, and you should feel bad."
Hades - Neutral Evil - "Nothing matters."
Gehenna - Lawful/Neutral Evil - "Resistance is futile."
The Nine Hells - Lawful Evil - "Yes, but if you read the fine print..."
Acheron - Lawful Evil/Neutral - "I was just following orders."
Mechanus - Lawful Neutral - "There's only one right path."
Arcadia - Lawful Good/Neutral - "The needs of the many..."
Concordant Opposition - True Neutral - "Hey, let's not get carried away."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the planes sorted by what aspects they exemplify and how strongly they do so. The planes that are part pure neutral are on top because they are the "pure" aspect planes, so they really highlight what that aspect is about. The bottom two in each category are the in-between planes, that only partially show an aspect.

Well that took some time but I wanted to sort out that strp for my own curiosity and thought people might enjoy sharing. I noticed some interesting I think and I'll probably post about it when I have more energy.
