Need help for picking a class for a DoDo

So this is for my brother.
any ideas for a class that a Dodo whould have.
All ideas are welcome.. it is literaly a dodo bird.
homebrew is welcome

Questions like this make me question my own sanity in that I want to answer them completely and comprehensively.

A dodo warlock or wizard fills me with a sense of glee, knowing that the reason his kind are all extinct is likely a result of his own experimentation with terrible magicks.

However, When I think of a dodo, and how it could be a character, my heart tells me fabulous stories of a secret society of flightless warrior-birds, who fiercely strike with their beaks, feet, and flightless wings. They were all slain in a terrible confrontation with the Yuan-ti, who have defiled their monasteries and slain the entire dodo population. All save one... a Monk/Paladin who was sworn an Oath of Vengeance to seek justice and overthrow the serpentine fiends who butchered his people.

I see dodos as the halflings of bird people. A little goofy and unassuming but not be underestimated, happy and peaceful on their secluded island home, with the chance few called by destiny to adventure. As such, Dodos in my eyes would make charming, silly, surprisingly adept rogues of the bumbling but unknowlingly skilled variety. I see Lucky as a ironically fitting feat. That said, I don't see dexterity as a very dodo like trait, but maybe that is part of the joke .
Maybe they have a rivalry or ancient feud with kenku,who are jealous of the Dodofolk ability to speak and sing.....dodo song is shockingly the most melodious and beautiful of bird songs. If going that route, the skilled singer, I'd say dodo folk have decent charisma, and would thus make good bards(and sorcerers, warlocks, and paladins). A bunch of baroque, almost final fantasy nine style armor and black mage robe wearing dodo folk seems very fitting.

I'd assumed it was a character for someone the OP considered not too bright and more than a little silly.
