View Full Version : Thematic feats for Antipaladin privileged jerk version

For a pathfinder game I am thinking of an LE Antipaladin with the tyrant and blighted myrmidon archetypes (using the weapon bond to avoid archetype overlap). I see him as a follower of Abadar that wants to found cities and spread civilization (and if that interferes with natural settings that is too bloody bad). I see him as human, privileged, confident, arrogant, etc. but not a fear monger. More of a politician.

I was thinking maybe the Eldritch heritage feats for destined (as in destined for greatness) and maybe some of the human racial feats that allow or force rerolls.

What other feats or traits do you think would be thematic?

Depending on what sort of privleged you mean the Rich Parents trait seems appropriate. It's not very strong if you're starting higher than level 4 or so. Deific Obedience (Abadar) seems on brand, and the 2nd exalted boon matches the flavor i think you're going for. Wouldn't apply till pretty high level even if you take the Exalted prestige class tho

I strongly suggest the noble scion/ (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/noble-scion/) feat, not only is it the "I was born rich" feat, but scion of war is a very strong mechanical choice for paladin/antipaladin.

Abadar's weapon is the light crossbow, so ranged combat feats would not be out of line. Abadar has some cool feats, the divine dignity and perfect casting are not really geared for martials but if you do focus on casting they are okay. Measured response (http://archivesofnethys.com/FeatDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Measured%20Response) is thematic and stops you from having to roll dice and do math every time you attack.
