So while reading another thread (the one about Blackguard and Kelemvor) the following premise was made:

"Forgotten Realms enforce the rule that a divine spellcaster (barring exotic PrCs like Ur-Priest or Blighter who explicitly get divine spells from other sources) must worship a deity to receive their spells"

Our campaign while not Forgotten Realms is similar in this regard.

I was curious what other classes if any are similar to the Blighter/Ur-Priest in this way to receive Divine spells from a non-deity.

Drawing on nature as is pointed out in that thread for classes like druids/ranger is acceptable.

Shugenja get divine spells from "the primal energies" around them, which to me sounds a lot like drawing on the power of nature but given their spell list and other mechanics is more focused on the 4 elements. Spirit shamans get divine spells by communing with the spirits of the living and the dead and th world, which also seems like a more narrowly focused power of nature deal.

RAW, divine casters can be dedicated to a cause, rather than a deity, and derive their powers from said causes (or rather, the cosmic forces that also support the cause).

Per the Book of Exalted Deeds, Celestial Paragons (The Celestial Hebdomad, the Court of Stars and Talisid and the Five Companions) can also grant divine spells. Evil divine casters may also elect to worship Demon lords and Archdevils, and get their powers from the fiendish lords

The book of Elder Evils and the Sertrous entry kind of kills any "Must worship deity" argument. Especially since any focus on FR kind of automatically goes beyond a core-only game.
