Tortle Protector to full feat

I was looking over tortle protector feat and overall it's something that caught my eye quite a bit, the 18 AC is nice and the half cover to allies is also very nice and I was wondering. I wasn't a bit fan of the +1 to str or wis so what could I swap that out for to make it a full feat, maybe proficiencies in armour? increase in other traits? etc.

Perhaps some improvement to their claws (like 1d6), or breathing (maybe full-on amphibiousness).

I guess it depends on what you are trying to accomplish with it. Are you trying to stick with the fluff of a protector or just add something else in that makes sense.

Personally I think adding a swim speed equal to your movement speed would be a good addition. Turtles can swim after all.
