[VGM] Warriors, from Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon

Yeah, okay, I know that this forum isn't the perfectly ideal place for my weird questions about game music, but oh well. Here we are.

Anyway. Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. It's underrated as hell (it's got a bit of a cult following, but it's a small cult), and while there's a handful (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXzFIoxd4Rk) of good covers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkFryJP3zpY) of its gems (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3iQnT3DYlg), I've never been able to find anyone who's done a cover of "Warriors," the giant boss theme. The original is actually oddly subdued by the standards of the rest of the soundtrack. I won't turn it off when it comes up on shuffle or when I reach that spot on the OST, but I don't find myself seeking it out in a vacuum, which stands in strong contrast to the majority of the rest of the songs the game has to offer. As you may know, boss fight songs are pretty much my absolute favorite subgenre of music this planet has produced, so I've always found this to be a bit disappointing. I believe that the melody is strong enough to be really great if covered properly, but I've never found anyone who's attempted it.

This is a shot in the dark, but I've been surprised before. Anyone know of a good cover of this song? I could see a pretty wide variety of styles doing a good job here (I mean, I'm always partial to a shreddy electric guitar, but have you listened to that big-band-style I Am Impact cover I linked above? Seriously, go listen. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkFryJP3zpY) It's about as far from a metal guitar as you get, and it's absolutely magnificent!), and at this point I'm mostly curious if it's been done at all.

(If anyone's enough of a miracle worker to pull off two impossible things, I'd also love to know if anyone's found a good cover of the boss theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gh9qhZST5I) for the SNES Legend of the Mystical Ninja, but I guess I won't get greedy.)

As usual, while I obviously have a goal in mind, I'm also interested in just general discussion even if you can't "deliver the goods" with a link to the covers I'm requesting. Makes it a bit less lonely in here.

Always loved Mystic Ninja starring Goemon. Nice hybrid between Ocarina of Time and Mario 64. I never really thought that much about the music but thinking back it was quite something. I remember being fond of the music that plays when you climb mount Fuji and in the snowy area later in the game. Also that restaurant music did a great job blending in with the ambient restaurant chatter with out either really overpowering the other. Not unlike actually resteraunt/bar music. Come to think of it, was the chatter part of the track itself?

As for your question, no I don't know of any such cover.

Hey, I appreciate having any kind of response. I think it's an extremely underrated soundtrack, but I recommend giving the whole thing a listen sometime if you're into that sort of thing.
