Martial Arts and Spears

I’ve been playing with a monk for a while and have luckily managed to raise my martial arts to a d8, and have kept my trusty spear through it all, I have a question I thought i’d Ask before I bring it up at the table.

I’ve wondered if my one-handed d8 Martial Arts Spear attack (which raises the weapon damage) is used with Versatile (both hands raises damage) could I argue that it could be raised to a d10? I think it’s a low possibility but worth a shot.:biggrin:

By RAW, I don't think so. But it's a reasonable request.

Could you argue it, sure :) Would you win, well that depends on your DM. The worst you will hear is a no. RAW is a no, RAI is a no. RAF, there is where you have a chance.
