Here are the rules: Please review them. There have been changes.

WWIX – Hogwart’s Havoc

Narrators: Alarra, Eldritch Knight, Zeb The Troll

Death Eaters – Wolves
Voldemort – Alpha
Wormtail – Devil
Lucius Malfoy – Recruiter. 1/3 nights. Teachers are immune. The person recruited has the option of refusal.
Teachers – Masons
Dumbledore – Alpha
Trelawny – Seer
Filch – Item Seer - can only detect items, but may target two players per night. If Filch has found an item, when it is used, it will go to him rather than being randomly reassigned. He may then keep the item or give it to someone else. However, the item must be randomly assigned again before he can find it and reclaim it.
(Example: Filch gets the cloak of invisibility and gives it to Dumbledore. When Dumbledore uses it, it is reassigned randomly at which point Filch can again begin looking for it. He cannot scry Dumbledore to get it back right away.)
DADA – Baner - (Not hired yet. Once discovered becomes a teacher (and becomes informed of their identities.), and the player may choose a character identity from the following pool: Lockhart, Lupin, or Moody) Still uses teacher victory conditions if not discovered by the teachers. (Can use abilities before discovery.)

Ministry
Cornelius Fudge - His Vote counts as 3
Umbridge - Can Block Nightly individual Abilities (PMs during Day.)

Special Roles
Snape - ????? (Details will only be given to the one who has the role)
Sirius Black – Godfather – can block recruitment of two characters per night. Uses Teacher victory conditions. (This was changed due to game-breaking potential. Should it be figured out how to keep a role such as this balanced, notes will be passed on to other narrators for use in future games.)

Students – Villagers

House Cup Rules -
Unique ability per house determined by majority vote:

Gryffindor – Protection of one player per night
- Ability is successful if the player they protect is attacked.

Ravenclaw – Scrying on one player per night
- Ability is successful if the player they scry has a role.

Hufflepuff – Bestow lynch immunity
- Ability is successful if they're target would be lynched.

Slytherin – increase target lynch vote count by 3
- Ability is successful if they're target would be lynched.

All of these are night votes. These are decided by secret ballot. Each player PM's the appropriate narrator with their individual vote. The narrator will tally the votes and determine who is the subject of the ability. The winner of the vote will only be revealed if the use is successful. This is to make it harder to make decisions based on preventing a house ability from being successful.

The votes will be calculated as follows:

Zeb will tally the votes from Gryffindor and Slytherin
Alarra will tally Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw

House Points:
1. Will be Arbitrarily assigned for things that impress the narrators. (Individual)
2. Successful use of house ability (House).
3. Roleplaying may increase the chances of being awarded housepoints. (See point 1.)
Highest number wins house cup at end game.


Victory conditions
Death Eaters win if – Sirius Black, Dumbledore and teachers are killed, and they have the voting advantage.
Teachers win if - All Death eaters are killed, and at least 50% of students live. (With recruitment, this number may fluctuate throughout the game)
Students win if - they survive!
Ministry members use student win conditions.

Items:
After the individual uses are depleted, these items will be reassigned randomly. Unused items may be transferred player to player at any time.

Invisibility Cloak – (passive item) Self Protection from Scry 1 use/person 8 use max - 7 uses remain
Marauder’s Map – (active item) Scrying ability 1 use/person 8 use max - *3 uses remain
Timeturner – (active item) Bring back an eliminated player 1 use/person 3 use max - 0 uses remain
Firebolt - (passive item) allows for escape from Deatheater attack, 1 use/person, 8 use max - 8 uses remain
*I need to verify this number, at this moment it's a SWAG.

To use active items, holders must PM the narrators during the night phase in which they would like to use it. The Timeturner must be used by the second night phase after the target player's elimination.

Each player will also be assigned a Character Name from the Harry Potter canon. For obvious reasons the Big Three will be claimed by the narrators.

If there are any questions, direct them to either Alarra, Zeb, or Eldritch Knight, or feel free to post them in the thread so that they can be answered for the benefit of all.

It's September first and another year at Hogwarts has begun. The great hall is filled with gossip and chatter as the returning students wait for the new first years to arrive and be sorted. As you enter the room you see four long tables set with golden dishes, crowds of students, and a few ghosts floating here and there. Candles float over every table and the ceiling, bewitched to look like the night sky, flashes periodically with lightening as purple clouds roll by.

A ratty hat sits on a stool on the raised platform on one end of the room. You stand in line and it begins to sing:

In times of old when I was new
And Hogwarts barely started
The Founders of our noble school
Thought never to be parted:
United by a common goal,
They had the selfsame yearning
To make the world's best magic school
And pass along their learning.

Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those
Whose ancestry is purest."
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose
Intelligence is surest."
Said Gryffindor, "We'll teach all those
With brave deeds to their name,"
Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot,
And treat them just the same."

Thus the Houses and their founders
Retained friendships firm and true.
But the discord crept among us
Feeding on our faults and fears.
The Houses that, like pillars four,
Had once held up our school,
Now turned upon each other and,
Divided, sought to rule.

And now the Sorting Hat is here
And you all know the score:
I sort you into Houses
Because that is what I'm for,
Though I must fulfill my duty
And must quarter every year
Still I wonder whether sorting
May not bring the end I fear.

Oh, know the perils, read the signs,
The warning history shows,
For our Hogwarts is in danger
From external, deadly foes
And we must unite inside her
Or we'll crumble from within
I have told you, I have warned you..
Let the sorting now begin

At these final words a hush falls over the hall. The hat had never prophesied danger before. What terrible events might this year bring? Each first year student was sorted in turn but the cheers and applause that normally accompanied their sorting was subdued. Worry filled the hall.

Dumbledore stands on the platform and addresses the students, bringing faint laughter with his nonsensical words and rolled eyes with his additions to the list of forbidden items. As he finishes his speech the food begins to appear on the table; rows and rows of puddings, meats, treacle tarts, and all other manner of delectable items.

As the students resume their chatter and move to take their first bites, the hall is plunged into darkness. A high pitched laugh and shimmering green skull fill the hall. The students panic as Voldemort's voice rings around them. "It's high time the dark lord took an interest in your education. This castle now belongs to me."

The mark dissolves slowly and the lights return, illuminating the terrified students. "Prefects! Prefects! Gather your students and return to your house dormitories at once!" Several older students begin gathering the younger ones into lines and they file out. The teachers gather together near the head table and begin to make plans for how they will combat this new threat and what to do about the students.

Day one begins.

[Emperor Demonking]

Tracy looked around frightened as she went to the slytherin common room. Seeing one of the other female slytherins, she stares at her and mouths. "Did you do this."

[Shadow]

Cedric Diggory, Prefect for House Hufflepuff stands up.
"All right students. No need to lose control here. We should follow directions and make our way to our dormatories. Hufflepuffs: Line up in an orderly fashion please.
Tracy. On What grounds do you accuse Daphne? Please, return to your room like the others.
Let the teachers handle this. I"m stying in my room, as I was told."

[Emperor Demonking]

"As." Says Tracy turning to that no good huffelpuff . "As. As she's a full blood slytherine everyone know they're evil."

[Shadow]

"That doesn't nessecarily mean that she, or any Slytherin for that matter, is at the heart of this.
Please, do as the teachers ask and return to your room like the rest of us."

Cedric then begins ushering the students from House Hufflepuff out of the dining hall.
But before they've left, chaos erupts when....

HERE! Someone make chaos erupt!....

[Gnome Barbarian]

As the mark appeared over head, Fred was just finishing putting food into his mouth. He stands up a little food falling out of his mouth as the dark mark speakers.

Anyone else notice he never shows up in person. He obviously fears Dumbledore. We'll be fine.

He has like a half hearted smile. As he makes his way to the gryffindor towers with the rest of his house.

[Emperor Demonking]

"You don't seem to be doing that." Says Tracy staying back so she'll be the last Slytherin to leave.

[Indurain]

"Oh no...what's going on Harry?" Colin says, trying to find Harry Potter in all the confusion. "Dennis? Dennis where are you?"

Suddenly Colin screams as the dark mark appears. Trying to regain his composure he brings his camera up with shaky hands and takes a picture, before he is swept away in the crowd of students exiting the great hall.

"Wait, Dennis, I have to find Dennis."

[Cult_of_the_Raven]

Daphne, just as frightened as the rest of the lot, hurries behind her house prefect. She notices Tracy behind her, asking a silent question. She shakes her head, eyes wide.
"I'm guessing it wasn't you, either, Tracy?" she asks nervously.

[Emperor Demonking]

"No, wouldn't have anything to do with you know who. Parents were annoyed with me being in slytherin as is." Says Tracy.

Angelina Johnson

Angelina was in the middle of a conversation when the dark mark erupted. "NO, Lee Jordan, I won't go out with--Ahhhhhhhh!!!" The Chaser whips her wand out and sprints off toward the Griffindor common room.

[Goblin Music]

Cadwallader rushes over to the rest of the Hufflepuffs he looks around fearfully lets get out of here

Ms Norris carries on prowling the corridors, hissing at any who might come near.

[Asarth]

Parvati Patil spits out her food in surprise as she hears Voldemort's voice.

"Ah!", and she looks up, at the mark, gathering her (maybe non-existant) belongings and follows after the Gryffindor prefects.

She watches her sister lead the Ravenclaws away, and finds Lavender Brown in the crowd of Gryffindors.

"Do you think everything will be alright? I'm sure the teachers will handle this. And Dumbledore.

With a worried look, Lavender replies,"Hopefully. I'm sure Professor Trelawny will be a great help. And so will we." She looked determined to do anything she could, as they both walked off to the Gryffindor Common Room.

[Ink]

Ernie Macmillan turns pale and looks around in confusion from his seat at the Hufflepuff table.

"What's this? What's going on?"

He spots Cadwallader and Cedric Diggory gathering the Hufflepuff students near the entrance of the hall and scrambles over to them, doing his best to mask the fear on his face.

[Andre Fairchilde]

Rincewind the Wizzard peeks his head around a corner...

"Ooops wrong game. Bye!"

[Zar Peter]

George scribbles something in his little book he carries.

Hmmm, glowing sign and a high, pitchy voice. That would scare everyone at a kids party. Have to tell Fred when we are in our rooms.
I hope Dumbledore will get rid of this evildoers! I must do some experiments in the corridors and I can only do that if it's safe outside.

As soon when the twins and Lee are alone an owl flies into the room with an letter.

Hannah Abbot jumps up with a shriek of fright from her seat near Cedric when the Mark explodes overhead. She frantically starts trying to look in all directions at once in a way that might be comical if not for the gravity of the situation, and promptly trips over the bench and faints. Some NPC Hufflepuffs carry her off to follow Cedric.

Meanwhile, a large group of students in the corridor trips and falls over a suit of armor and a fallen chandelier.

Oopsie! Says the Poltergeist. My bad!

Zabini finishes climbing the stairs.

"456, 457, 458, 459, 460. Just the same as last year. Good.

He looks around the hall, everyone is rushing around toward their rooms.

"Okay then. Down I go again. 1, 2, 3..."

Draco turns to Crabbe and Goyle

How long do you think it'll be before Potter breaks the rules and gets rewarded for it? Probably stealing the House Cup from us again. Anyone else and it'd be a different story...

an old elf wanders along the corridors, so focused on his way he doesn't notice the mark.

"...snotty brats everywhere, a place filled with mudbloods, freaks and blood-traitors...oh, my poor Mistress, if she knew, i'm sure Hogwart's was a better place on her days...oh, the shame, poor old Kreacher, what can he do..."

To the Gryffindor Quidditch Team: Okay men, due to current events it looks as though we will not be able to use the field today, but this doesn't mean practice is canceled. *pulls a white cloth that was draped on a machine* This is the Frog-Thrower 5000, it can throw chocolate frogs up to 200 kmph and is constructed from rubber bands, glue, a bunch of wood I found lying around, duct tape, and random magical charms. Now let's get practicing! *starts throwing chocolate frogs at the players* Everyone just needs to pretend the frog is a ball. Beaters, hit them with sticks, everyone else needs to catch them and put them in a basket located next to your left foot.

[Supagoof]

Oooh. Everybody not going to get fed, going to houses before dinner is served. Dobby will talk to other house elves see if Dobby can bring food to houses. Dobby make sure Harry and friends get fed, even though Dobby promised he'd take care of Isabell, because Harry told Dobby that Isabell got placed in wrong house due to sorting hat, and could use the company.

With a snap of his fingers, the oddly dressed house elf disapparates out of the great hall.

Ahhh, the dark lord is here, ahhhhhh, and runs off to the Hufflepuff home.

Lee Jordan can't eat propperly, he can be seen a bit worried, even though he tries to be the same as always, running after the twins. He says to them:

"So, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has returned? Good we have Potter and Dumbledore on our side! Anyhow, he wouldn't try anything here, right? We're safe here, or so I hope... What do you think, Fred, George?"

Several students walking through a corridor look at the paintings on the wall. It appears someone has been doodling on them.

The Fat Fady has a mustache, Sir Cadogan's has a pink heart on his armor that reads "ponies", and some other portrait seems to be having a fight with a stick figure of a bard with a puppet on his hand, as well as a strange monster under an umbella.

Who could have done that.........? The students wonder.

Michael Corner had been somewhat listlessly poking about where he sat, absently staring over at the Gryffindor tables, looking for a certain redhead, when the mark manifested - he startled, windmilling his arms and falling back out of his seat; thankfully he rolled a bit and took the hit on the shoulder rather than the back of the skull.

He hurried over toward the Gryffindor tables, looking for Ginny, wanting to make sure she was alright.

Which targets will be left open, Helgraf? Who else should Gryffindor be protecting?

Any other person they protect will be completely at random. The chances of them protecting someone the DEs will attack by random chance is ludicrously small. At this stage the Gryffindor talent is useless unless there is a known Teacher to protect. They are as much in the dark as to who to protect as the DEs are as to who to attack.

Secondly if Shadow were a Death Eater, all of Ravenclaw would know it by the morning. Then he would get lynched. And for what? One night's mis-use of an otherwise useless (at this stage) ability.

Shadow's plan is an excellent one with no drawbacks. Helgraf, I find you extremely suspicious for your attempts to cast doubt on a plan that could hand us the win.

As evening grows near, the crowd of students press forward toward Rita Skeeter, chattering amongst themselves. “She’s a servant of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!” “She’s bloody Annoying!” “She can’t write!” came from some of the more vocal people. (I must admit, I was one of them.. I’d sooner throw her to a troll than let her write more about me.)

“You may want to kick me out of Hogwarts,” She cried, “But the pen is immortal. Even if you throw me in Azkaban, I’ll still be read!”

The students conferred with each other, and the teachers, and decided that Detention wouldn’t be a fair punishment for the sheer amount of annoyance she brought with her, so it was decided that she would be sent to Azkaban, with none other than Jar-Jar Binks as her cellmate.

(Don’t ask how Jar-Jar got here.. That it involved a wizard with a taste for muggle films, reality bending spells, and a little too much Vodka, is all you need to know.)

Summerby, still trying to recover from this recent bout of amnesia and paranoia, this night finds himself wandering the halls of Hogwarts after hours trying to get back these lost memories so that he can start acting like himself, whoever that is. Unfortunately, this also made him forget how dangerous it is to be wandering about alone, at night, at this point in time. He'd forgotten about the Death Eaters infiltrating his school. The Death Eaters had not forgotten about him, however. Summerby had recently made a name for himself by using sheets that have been spread out as an analysis tool. The last thing the Death Eaters want to have around right now is someone else who can discover their identities. He had to go. And he had to go now, before he was able to perfect this new form of analysis and get accurate results.

Ah, Summerby, my good man.

Startled, the boy snaps back to the present and turns around to find a wand waving menacingly in his face. But not for long. These guys knew all too well what could happen if you give a wizard, even a fledgling one, a chance to draw his wand.

I can't say I like the thought of Diggory trying to teach us, Especially with my O.W.L.s this year, but if he wasn't then maybe a Ravenclaw would manage to tell us. Unless of course every single Ravenclaw and Diggory are Death Eaters. So either a quarter of us are Death Eaters or we have to accept that Diggory's a teacher. Until someone can make Dumbledore see sense.
