Are there any methods in pathfinder that allow you to craft magic items without the required item creation feat? Or alternatively, something like the chameleon's floating feat that can be changed based on what items you intend to craft?

Paragon Surge. Half-Elf racial spell, lets you pick any feat you qualify for and have it for a minute a level. Now, obviously you're gonna need some way to extend the spell out to last the whole crafting process, which might be a bit tricky, but is doable. Ironically the easiest way is to just craft a custom item of it with a permanent duration, but hey, if it works it works. Just get the Craft Wondrous Item feat normally, craft the item, and retrain the feat. Of course the item's only gonna be good for one feat, so you're gonna have to make like five of 'em.

And each sets you back ~30,000 gold.

Have fun!

Feat retraining (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/basics-ability-scores/more-character-options/retraining/). Spend 5 days (and 50gp per character level) to temporarily pick up the crafting feat that you need, craft your item(s), then do it again to retrain back the feat you temporarily let go.

Shaman characters can use their wandering hex to temporarily pick up the Cauldron hex (brew potion) or the Fetish hex (Craft Wondrous item) at will (above the minimum level requirement).

Yeah. In addition to the things SorenKnight and Coventry mentioned....
You can extend the duration of a spell indefinately by going to a plane that's Timeless with respect to magic. And if you really need to, you can make one (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/c/create-demiplane/).

A Summoner could have the feat on their eidolon (they get feats, and there's an option for giving them a few spell-like abilities, which gets them a caster level), and have their eidolon do the crafting.

If you want to go 3rd party, Psionics has Psychic Reformation, which works much like the retraining (but doesn't cost as much, especially if you can manifest it yourself).

If you're willing to use Pathfinder's Mythic rules, the Archmage (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/mythic/mythic-heroes/mythic-paths-paizo-inc/archmage/) path has an ability called Crafting Mastery that lets you craft anything as if you had the relevant feats, doubling your crafting speed if you have the relevant feat anyway.

You could build or coerce a Latten Mechanism (http://www.archivesofnethys.com/MonsterDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Latten%20Mechanism) to do the building for you.

Or do what I did and use the 3rd party Amalgam template to build the bestest most ultimatest crafting robot evar! (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=20457305&postcount=22)

Hey, in-campaign I asked first. She thought it was awesome.

And we made them non-unique because the idea of loads of these giant metal termites crawling around her domain amused our GM.

My character did also marry her at the end of that campaign so that might have maybe possibly been a mitigating factor.

^ that's pretty campaign-specific though, so it should in fairness be mentioned.

The best way to craft without crafting feats is cooperative crafting with a friendly NPC. (Which is also campaign-specific, but crafting NPCs should be fairly easy to find - where else would all the items in the shops come from?)

where else would all the items in the shops come from?Ex adventurers (whether retried or deceased) over time? Magic items do not have a finite lifespan by default; they last until something destroys them. If the "average" caster makes 3 permanent items over the course of a career (and quite a few disposables), casters account for 1/3rd of adventurers, and there have been 100 generations of adventurers of about the same count as the current generation... then there's 100 permanent magic items per currently-active adventurer floating around (minus the items that have since been destroyed, plus the items that have been made by non-casters).
