Clouds gather, leaves fall, the waning of the year begins, and more damned souls writh in horrible agony people have joined the playground.

Last year we listed a soundtrack to explore the October Country with:

So, I made my Halloween playlist this morning and I was wondering, have you made one? If so what's on it? If not, what will be on it?

Well I always enjoy the annual Halloween show on classical music station KDFC (https://www.kdfc.com/2016/10/can-you-guess-the-spooky-halloween-tunes/), but I'm going to recommend an obvious one:

From 1982,

.by The Dream Syndicate.

What say you?

For Halloween, what witchy sound waves do you kick out the jams with?

This is most of what I listen to year round, I'll come back with links later. But some off the top of my head:
Ministry - "Everyday is Halloween" (a song I have taken as life advice)
Goblin - "Suspiria" (the whole soundtrack, but ESPECIALLY the title cut)
Oingo Boingo - "Dead Man's Party" is the obvious choice, "No One Lives Forever" is a good follow up, but "Insanity" is my favorite song ever. Really, just drop any Boingo at your Halloween party and you'll be fine.
Nick Cave - "Red Right Hand" is not my favorite by him, but I can't imagine a Halloween party without it
Rasputina - "Transylvania Concubine" for obvious reasons.
Concrete Blonde's "Bloodletting" directly into Type O Negative's "Black No. 1". Or if you have a taste for weird lounge, the NecroTonz cover of the latter.
I'm not a huge fan of Rob Zombie, but pretty much anything he's done would work.
More weird, but the Ghastly Ones are pretty much the surf rock equivalent of Scooby Doo, and great fun! Check out "Hangman Hangten"

For newer bands, check out Bestial Mouths and Ritual Howls, they're two of my favorites these days.

I really ought to make a mix. And if you'll forgive a little self-promotion, I did a cover of the title song from the movie Fright Night specifically for Halloween this year: https://doorsinthelabyrinth.bandcamp.com/track/fright-night

The only acceptable Halloween playlist is the song "This is Halloween" on a loop and only the original version.
