Gender: Unknown
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Xykon's Chances of winning: None, Zero, Nada, Zip, Zilch.
I say it's: Sabine's "friends".
Why can't Xykon win? The Algorithm of Evil!

The Algorithm of Evil
Villains must appear in ascending order of threat.
But the MITD migh be able to win!

Disclaimer: I did not create the Algorithm of Evil, but I can't remember who takes credit for it.

Gender: Male

Xykon vs MP: Doesn't happen. Xykon will leave town and thus will have little contact with MP. If it does, the lich wins hands down. If Red-voice could beat him, he would not be taking a wimpy advisor role.

This is not one of Sabine's "friends". They know of the Gate, and of the vital necessity of keeping the lich away from it, which MP didn't know.

The algorithm of evil is not being used openly in this story. If it was, we would have beat up some minion of the lich in book 1, not faced the lich himself 1st book.

Now we might have a variation of it like...
1. Heros win by fluke.
2. Heros win vs minor stuff
3. Lich is back and wins, barely noticing the party.
4. Lich wanders off and Mystery Voice is the big evil of the book, losing
5. Party heads to next gate and somehow beats the lich, this time getting its attention.
6. Party battles at last gate, beating lich, but waking Snarl for final battle.
