So, people usually build around the Stormguard Warrior feat focusing on the Channel the Storm AoO tactics - I can see the "wasting a full-round buffing damage exclusively" as negative action economy, however, what if we had something nice we could do to those no-damage clause attacks from Stomguard's Combat Rhythm ?

Enters Girallon Windmill Flesh Rip:

"If you strike an opponent multiple times during your turn, you also deal rend damage. This damage is based on the number of times you strike your opponent during your turn. Determine the rend damage dealt immediately after you make your last attack for your turn".

So, regardless of damage dealt - damn, even if your attacks deal no damage, as the trigger condition is hitting the target(s) - you get an expressive 8d6 +2d6 for every hit after the second one, up to 20d6 for 8 hits.

Does anyone recall any other effect that functions on hit, regardless of actual damage that could spice this up?

There's the Sickening Grasp reserve feat. Or contact poison. And of course, stacking up lots of secondary natural weapon attacks.

I don't think you need anything too crazy for it to be useful, though. You can just use it for your later iteratives to turn that -10 attack into a touch attack and make it substantially more likely to hit, and that's fine.

Troacctid pretty much has the long and short of it. Combat Rhythm is more about letting you benefit from your low hit percentage attacks by switching them to touch and deferring the benefits into the next round, preferably with some kind of multiplier.

The feat actually isn't that great in high optimization where you're likely to be 1-2 shotting most CR appropriate monsters anyways.

Most people overlook the interactions the feat has. For example, Channel the Storm is most useful when combined with feats like Evasive Reflexes or stances like Shifting Defense where you can avoid opponents' attacks outright and gain additional benefits for doing so.

Some people try and extend the "delivering touch spells/abilities as part of a natural/unarmed attack" rules to Stormguard Warrior's Combat Rhythm ability as well, see here (https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/28559/can-a-monks-unarmed-strike-be-considered-as-a-touch-attack).

Fight the Horde is virtually useless, as most situations in which it would be useful involve positioning yourself poorly for prolonged fights against multiple powerful opponents (something you never want to do).

Isn't it for use in combo with stuff like Lightning Throw / Adamantine Hurricane / Scything Blade?
