I am running Curse of the Crimson Throne. Each character has just hit 8th level. I wanted to give each of them an item tailored to them. I was looking at a price limit of 8000 gp. The party consists of
1. Halfling cavalier with a riding dog
2. Periblooded Aasimar Investigator who just took a level in gunslinger.
3. Half-orc Shaman currently keeping the party alive with lifelinks
4. Human Inquisitor with a level in Sensei monk.
5. Tiefling Arcane Bomber wizard (dont ask)

Hm. How about Boots of the Earth (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/boots-of-the-earth/)? It won't completely mitigate in-combat damage, but it will help save spells healing himself out of combat. And, unlike a Ring of Regeneration, it's well within your gold value at 5,000gp.

Ooooo good call. Thanks

These are nice for any Cavalier, if a bit boring as they only make him a bit cavalier-er.

This thing, however, is kinda useful for when a mount can be a little bit too big to get inside somewhere, but could be useful inside. Or when the untrutworthy duke wont let you bring your slavering hellbeast in for an audience/ambush. The players can also use it to teleport equipment around if the mount is carrying it, so be prepared for shenanigans.

For your inquisitor/monk, these might be nice. As long as he actually punches stuff.

You could also pull relevant stat-boosting items for each character, but, as Concrete said, those are kind of boring. The thing is, you really only told us what two of your characters do, and said not to ask for one of them. :) A better indication of their goals and/or desires might help.

4. Human Inquisitor with a level in Sensei monk.

That said, for this one, two items possibly come to mind. The Bane Baldric (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/baldric-bane/) and the Monk's Robe (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/r-z/robe-monk-s/), but neither of those fit your cost level, being 10,000gp and 13,000gp respectively.

The Asimaar gunslinger/investigator might like this thing. It's kinda thematic if they play up their ancestry, and it can be useful if someone tries to get too touchy feely with a ranged character. Could be kinda volatile around gunpowder though.

This thing is slightly too expensive, but maybe worth looking into anyway?

This thing I feel could work both for investigators and inquisitors.
And this thing. I have a bit of a thing for magical eyewear, and how neat is a monocle that forces people to tell the truth? Pretty flipping neat if you ask me.

Some more possibilities: The Boots of the Cat (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/boots-of-the-cat/) (1,000gp) and the Swarmbane Clasp (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/c-d/clasp-swarmbane/) (3,000gp) might be useful, the latter more if you're planning for swarms in subsequent play (though they often don't show up as often at this level). Being able to punch the hell out of swarms is not only fun, but an amusing thing to imagine.
