The vampiric touch spell does not, in fact, have a range of touch, but a range of self.

Thus, it can not be cast through a familiar.

I thought it might be the case but wanted to clarify as there is something about the name of the spell which makes it feel like a touch kind of deal. Probably the word vampiric :)

Per RAW, no. Per RAI, maybe?

I would allow it at my table, but I also allow Ice Knife to count for Sneak Attack if within range(as it conjures a dagger of ice), so I tend to follow more rule of cool then Rules as Written.
