This fantabulous new song, by the fantabulous Kate Nash, is out! Have a listen.

If you don't like it... I will cry.

I didn't like it particulary, but it's not bad. Though "This... is my face.." made me crack up. That's so ridiculous out of context.

It's a fun song. And yeah, the "This... is my face..." got a confused smirk from me

She sounds like a cheap knock off version of Regina Spektor. :smallfrown: No offense

What. The. Hell.

Did I miss something or were those dancing alien men?

The lyrics are bland.
The tune is nothing special.
The singer's voice cracks, plus her accent affects my ability to understand her.
Dancing alien men.

Wow, that was pretty bad as far as non-rap videos go.

Cry, Kaelaroth. Cry.

Actually, I think that was one of the redeeming qualities of this movie. It made absolutely no sense, but it was better than the rest of the movie, IMHO.

I have to say, I really wasn't impressed. Her voice isn't particularly remarkable and her accent detracts from the song. The whole indie vibe to the lyrics didn't work for me either, and the bizarre video really didn't absolve an otherwise bland performance. Wasn't exactly my cuppa, but I can see how someone else might like it, though.

While we're on the subject of female songwriters, I have a bit of a soft spot for Missy Higgins (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SZe0RHPk6xk). Something about playing a piano while it's falling apart is endearing to me.

I think I heard Kate first. Meh, I'll admit it is not everyone's cup of tea. It drives my family mad (I have the album). My tears were shortlived.

Commence crying. It wasn't that good, but I liked the start where she was playing piano on the table, that was cool.
