I'm wondering what people's opinions are of mixing a Profane Soul Blood Hunter with 2-3 levels of Warlock?

Do you think it's worth it to get a couple of Invocations, some extra warlock spells and cantrips, and possibly the Pact benefit?

It could be. I've got a blood hunter I'm playing. After level 5 I multi-classed out and was pretty torn between warlock and cleric. The wisdom synergy swayed me toward cleric and it's working out just dandy. The cantrips and extra spells are great for some versatility and I would imagine the same is going to be true of a dip into warlock.
