Amadeus, Lord of Mediocrity (Vistage)
Back Story- Once, in a now long forgotten plane, a young boy known as Antonio was born. This boy was born into a poor family, but he had but one true love, religion. He was devoted to his god (Now suspected to be St. Cuthbert, Lathander, or Pelor or some other god of art or music) and all his life he only wanted to praise them. Thus one day he struck a bargain with his god. He asked only to be a musician, to be loved an admired, to be given the ability to fully understand music and in turn to be able to have talent himself. In return, he vowed to make every song, every play, and every composition in honor of his god, and sing his praises via music. And he was granted his wish. His father, who had always resisted his musical carer died expectantly, his talent was noticed by the local goverment, and within three years he was the personal composer to the king himself. The king had no ear for music, but loved the young boy's work. And all was well, until the another young man enter his life. Now he is only know as the Singer, his name is lost to time. All that is known are his many famous songs, and his middle name, Amadeus. The Singer was a musical genius from the age of four, and his music was renown throughout the land for its wonder. Antonio was always a great fan of the Singer's work and one day heard of a musical presentation being given at a nearby castle. Eager to meet his idle, Antonio came, and met a young boy their. The boy was rude, uncultured, spoiled, immature, vain, crude, selfish brat, and Antonio payed him no heed. But to his surprise, the boy was in fact the Singer, and hearing his music, Antonio (who has an incredible ear for music) was shocked. The music was like the voice of god, pure bliss, simple beauty, and Antonio was stunned. He never could imagine such a wonderful noise in his life. And so after his return, he persuaded the king to invite the Singer to his Castle and to preform an Opera for them in their native
language. And Antonio spent the days until his arrival writing a piece in his honor, and wrote a long and wondrous piece, one to be praised by all the other music lover. But when hte Singer arrived, he not only proved himself to be a rude insensitive brat, after hearing Antonio's music once, he played it perfectly from memory, then did it backward. Antonio was skilled enough in music that only he truly understood the Singer's talent, and yet he was humiliated and seconded by him in every turn. And so, Antonio vowed revenge against his God's vassal on earth for his humiliation, so that he could defeat god. Using his powerful connections, he ruined the Singer's reputation He learned of the Singer's devotion to his father, and when his father died, he came up with a plan to destroy the Singer. After his Father's death, the Singer wrote a dark Opera, in which his father accusing him of being a spoiled fool before all the world, though only Antonio knew this. Dressing up as a ghost, Antionio instructed the singer to write one final song in honor of his father. The Singer worked on this song despite poverty and his ill health. Antionio hoped to murder the Singer after he finished and play it at his funeral in his name. But the Singer was soon to sick to even move his hands, and so Antionio, pretending to be his friend wrote the piece as the Singer narrated it. But as he almost finished, the Singer died. And so Antionio had to finish it, but found his victory hollow, and empty, and so it was played at the Singer's Funeral in the Singer's name. And so as he aged the Singer's music more popular, his was forgotten until soon he was penniless in a madhouse. Their he stole the Singer's middle name and named himself Amadeus, Lord of Mediocrity, and vowed he would be remember, even though he was forgotten by most mortals and gods alike
Manifestation - Amadeus appears as a dead commander, ten feet tall with an unadorned helm and a Grey cape. His armor has not symbol or ,mark of any kind
Sign- Your face looks worn and your appearance plan
Influence- The Lord of mediocrity makes you greatly jealous of anyone who is better at your greatest talent. Should anyone humiliate you in an area that you considered your strength (music or magic) you must make every effort to destroy and humiliate them.
Granted abilities- You make instantly know all the abilities, spells, skills, and feats of anyone higher level than you of the same class.
Requiem-You make mimic an enemies attack once per day
Father's Ghost- You make force you foe to use his most powerful spell upon you, no matter the cost. He has has already used it an can't again (out of spells per day, power points etc) he still uses it targeted on you, but is effected by it as if You cast it on him. Example, Bob 17th level Binder uses Father's ghost on Xykon. Xykon uses meteor Swarm, but is already out of 9th level spells. So Bob is hit by a meteor Swarm as if he was hit by a meteor Swarm from a 20th level Wizard. So Xykon is also hit by a meteor Swarm, as if cast by a 17 level Wizard.
Backward Mockery- Thrice per day, as a free action you may make an attack bounce back its attacker as if it has done no damage to you.
God's Envy- You may treat members of your own class as if you had a favored enemy towards them. So a level 10 wizard level 5 binder could have Favored enemy Wizard and Favored Enemy Binder. This does not work for Presige Classes
