Hello All! This handbook is a more specialized one, and could be considered more of an addendum to the Mind Mage handbook over on MinMax http://minmaxforum.com/index.php?topic=3171.0

For more generalized Information, that handbook has plenty of good information.

This handbook will be focused on a Human Wizard Psion. I've found only one other post referencing the Athasian Human in conjunction with Mind Mage, so I figured I'd put in my two sense.

Athasian Human
Some standard Human stuff
+1 Skill Point Per Level
Bonus Feat at 1st Level
And the reason they're given LA +1
+2 to any 2 stats
1st level Psion/Wilder power at 1st level, 2nd level power at 5, 3rd level power at 10, 4th level power at 15
3 PP at 1st level, 3 more at 5th, 5 more at 10th, and 7 more at 15th

Build
Wizard 5/Psion 1/Mind Mage 10/X4

This build will be more focused on Conjuration and Blasting.
The Wizard portion of the build is a Focused Conjurer.
Scribe Scroll Traded away for Augmented Summoning.
That ability comes bundled with swearing away the rest of your bonus feats. Some DM's may allow you to only take the Augment Summoning, and keep your other bonus feats.
For those with the lenient DM, I'd trade away the 5th level bonus feat for the Summoner or Planning domain.
Summoner gives +2 CL to Conjuration(Summoning&Calling), while Planning gives Extend Spell as a bonus feat.
The Familiar is gonna get traded away for either 10' teleporting Int/Day, or Standard Action Summoning Spells.
In my eyes both do very similar things. Allowing you mobility while still casting. The choice doesn't make a huge difference in my eyes.

The Psion portion will be a Shaper without any ACF's
At 1st level learn a Force Power and pick up Harden Energy. In my opinion the best psi-spell feats are Concussive Blast, Astral Fire, Energy Flare, and (most especially) Dual Plane Summons. But, you can't pick up Astral Construct with Athasian Human.

Feats
1 Harden Energy
Human
W1 Augment Summoning
3
W5 Planning - Extend Spell
6 Dual Plane Summons
P1 Psiotheurgist (Psionic Feat)

These feats are either Automatic, Required, or on a very high power level.

If X in the build above is simply Cerebremancer, then with Psiotheurgist your Manifester and Caster Level for Conjuration(non-teleportation) and Metacreativity Spells/Powers would be 27 (Wizard CL)+23 (Psion ML)=50.

What to do with high CL on Conjuration and Metacreativity
Anyone who would want to help expand on what to do here, any input would be appreciated.

Why your spell slots don't matter as much
With Mind Mage, you don't have to get 9th level spell slots. You can suffice with 8ths, 7ths, or even, with a 24 base Manifester Level, 6th level spell slots.
With a Manifester Level of 8 and 8 PP expended, you can prepare a 9th level spell in an 8th level slot.
ML 16 and 16 PP is 9th level spell in 7th level slot.
Focused Specialist is here for the tons of bonus spells it can give. Giving up Evocation, Enchantment, and some other thing. I wouldn't recommend giving up necromancy, because another ability of the Mind Mage will boost your save DC's by a metric TON.

With 17 Wizard Preparation Levels you have 3 spell slots each of 0th through 6th, 2 7th, 1 8th, 0 9th Base Slots, and an extra 3 Spells per level. For a total number of spell slots before High ability mod of 54 Spell Slots. 12 of which could have the possibility of being 9th level spells without employing other tricks, which I am sure are out there.

If you take some days to prepare your spell before a big adventure with a Manifester Level of 24 (accomplished w/ 13 base, 10 from Mind Mage, and 4 from Practiced Manifester) you could prepare all of your spells in lower level slots. So you could have 4th-8th level spells prepared in 1st-5th level slots and 9th level spells prepared in your 6th-9th level slots.

If there is something I mentioned but skipped over please let me know.
If you have more information I will try to add it to the handbook.
