Custom Spell Effect: Collective?

I have limited experience with creating new spells with 3.5...

Is there a way to add an effect to a spell to have it work throughout your Collective vs a range?

Well, if it's a custom spell you can feasibly have any kind of range or area of effect.

I was hoping there was some other work already on doing this to set a precedent. All my ideas lately seem to be chock full of opposition.

I want to add "Collective" to Metaconcert to change range from 20ft to Collective Range. Maybe making it a higher level power to show the improvements...

This sounds like a limited version of what "Mass Spell" would be if it were a metamagic feat instead of a series of spells related to the base spell.

Yeah, Collective isn't really just a range though, I was assuming it would be more complicated. Being able to add "Collective" to a punch of powers/spells would be extremely useful I would think.

It's more of a descriptor, and indeed there already is a tag intended for that purpose: [Network] powers can be used through a collective. There's a metapsionic feat that adds [Network] to a power at cost of focus +4 power points; if you wanted to make a spell version of that I think that translates to roughly +2 spell levels.

I just added 3 levels, removed Psychic Warrior and more then double the PP. Might not be as slick but works no?

Whats your suggestion on adding the Network descriptor to any power? Two levels but what PP cost? Assuming I am NOT using the Feat.

+3 spell levels. The focus requirement grants a discount of 2 power points.
