So it's been quite a few years since I was properly here. I got pretty severely depressed and this place didn't seem worth the effort. But not long ago I had a manic episode, and I haven't settled back into depression yet. I'm hoping it will last.

Welcome back. I too have depression but my meds help a lot. Take this advice: see a doctor. If you're already seeing a doctor, find a better one. There's all sort of medications and a wide price range that can help.
