3ish feet is 1 meter, so 6'4 can most acuratally be described as "Two meters and a bit"

well I always just use something like Scitools on my TI-83+SE or http://onlineconversion.com

but anyways, 6'4 = 76 inches = 1.9304 meters

EDIT: ^ 1 meter is about 39 inches while a yard is 36, so you subtract a bit.

1.93 meters.

Convert it all to inches first, then multiply by 2.54 (Or 2.5 for roughly)

Or one foot is 0.3 meters and multiply it by however many feet.

Handy converstion. 3m = 10ft, I use this mental tip to help with 'quick conversions.

1m = 3ft 4in, so 6'4 is 4in (10.16cm) shy of 2m.

Google also has a handy dandy converter built into the search engine. Although you might have to rephrase that conversion.

Actually, closer to 3 ft. 3 in. (or 3.25 ft.).

3 ft. 4 in. is actually about 1.6 cm over a meter, given the 1 in = 2.54 cm conversion rate.

3 ft. 3 in is only 0.94 cm under a meter.

Well, 3m= 10 feet, so 1m = 3.3 feet. 1/3 of a foot is 4 inches. So okay, I was a little off, it was a quick estimate.

hehe yeah. ((6x12)+4) x 2.54 / 100

= 1.9304 meters

And that is the ACCURATE way to do it :smallwink:

as mentioned, google calculator is the way to go.
For example:
34 US Dollars to British Pounds (http://www.google.com/search?q=34+USD+to+british+pounds&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)

3 miles to kilometers (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=DRt&q=3+miles+to+kilometers&btnG=Search)

Perhaps you need to know the answer to Euler's Equation (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=OSt&q=e%5E%28pi*i%29%2B1&btnG=Search)

Or you need to get the volume of a sphere with a radii of 3 (http://www.google.com/search?q=%284%2F3%29*pi*3%5E3&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)

or perhaps you need to know the answer to life, the universe, and everything (http://www.google.com/search?q=the+answer+to+life%2C+the+universe%2C+and +everything)

- You are from country that uses meter system and yet you can use inches and feet quite well :smallwink:

Anyway 6'4 is really tall human or really short elephant.

I was expecting this to be a thread about everybody's height.

I go here (http://convert.french-property.co.uk/) for all my metric-imperial conversion needs.
